A true embarrassment. I’m done with cumbys. Thats likely close to 5k a year. I hate being frustrated by disasterous app upgrades. Whenever a company chooses to roll out a feature that clearly is not functional I move on to another company that at least gives the appearance for care of their customers.
Worthless, while it worked well for several months, the last two months it has not worked and I cannot get help on how to make it work.
Great for 5+ years until my account was hacked yesterday. Two separate transactions in southern Florida (big surprise )for a total of $125. Disabled the account. Hopefully that's all that's gonna happen.. Frustrated in MASS.
nightmare app and behind the scenes tech support if absolutely terrible. ZipLine then CheckRedi what a freaking circus. DO NOT USE THIS UNLESS YOU FOR SURE HAVE FUNDS IN YOUR CONNECTED ACCOUNT FOR 1-3 DAYS AFTER YOU PUMP GAS. IF YOU DONT THEY IMMEDIATELY SUSPEND YOUR "CHECKREDI" GO BETWEEN ACCOUNT TIED TO YOUR CARD AND ASSESS A $25 FEE IMMEDIATELEY WITHOUT ANY HESITATION. THIS IS A HUGE SCAM.
One point I would like to mention is that Cumberland Farms went up 10 cents a gallon when they started this Smartpay program. Cumberland Farms was always 10 cents cheaper than Mobil gas, but now are the same price per gallon of gas, so cash paying customers are paying 10 cents more a gallon of gas so they can offer a 10 cent a gallon discount if you use a Smartpay card.
There is no reason you need ANY personal information to use a rewards card. What a shady rewards program. Won't be even using Cumberland again.
You have ALL of my personal info but you can't verify it so you send an email wanting pictures of my license and bank statements?? Are you serious?!? I want YOU to discard ALL the information I gave you! Very disappointed to say the least!
I've been using a Smartpay card for years. About every 6 months or so I have to replace the card because the pumps no longer read the magnetic strip. Picked up a new, did everything requested, and then attempted to use it. My account has now been locked. I received an email requesting pictures of my license and numerous other documents. Bull! I'm done. This is total crap. I travel a lot and have been a loyal customer for a long time, no longer. Wise up Cumbies!
Downloaded app - entered SS DL number DOB addy and bank info - get an email indicating they could not verify my information and asked for a copy of my actual license. No thanks. Deleted account and sent to BBB
CF wants license#, birth date,last 4# SSN & bank acct info. If they ever got hacked-all life’s important info is there for someone to steal identity. Better way 4 program 2 work -ask 4 check-acct# & verify it with the deposit/confirmation system & then provide barcode for phones, or key card 2 swipe or read @ pump in conjunction w/a PIN. I pay many bills without the payee having to know my SSN, Bdate, or license #, so I don't see any reason why CF can't operate the SmartPay the same way.
Tried to sign up at the cumberlandfarms.com/smartpay site, and after putting in the information, the site wouldn't work. Since I use a Mac and OS Sierra is even worse than OS El Capitan (which means out of the blue, Chrome just stopped working (you can't even FORCE QUIT it) and I am forced to use Firefox, who knows why it doesn't work. But I will never be back again. And I don't use apps.
Worst thing ever!!! Wouldn't recommend I didn't have the money in my account deposited and they still tried taking more and more money out causing me a over draft of about $60 . In the end those 10 cents you save aren't worth it at all !!! Beyond pissed what they have done with the extra fees !!!
